Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the NestHold iOS application (the "App", "we", "us", or "our"). We respect your privacy and believe that records of your household possessions are strictly confidential. NestHold is designed so that your data is stored exclusively on your device.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because NestHold operates locally, we do not collect or transmit:

• No User Accounts: You are not required to provide your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
• No Cloud Catalog Storage: We do not operate remote databases storing your items, rooms, values, receipts, or notes.
• No Behavioral Tracking: We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not collect Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
• No Location Data: The App does not request or track your GPS location.

3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

All information you input into NestHold is stored directly inside the App's protected local sandbox on your iOS device:

• Inventory Records: Item names, categories, rooms, purchase dates, warranty dates, model/serial numbers, and item purchase values.
• Photos & Attachments: Item photos and receipt images taken with or imported into the App are stored within your device's local filesystem.
• App Preferences: Currency settings, custom categories, and display options.

NestHold does not operate cloud servers or sync your inventory to Apple iCloud. All catalog data, photos, and settings remain solely within the App's protected local sandbox on your iPhone.

4. Device Permissions

NestHold requests only permissions necessary to deliver core features:

• Camera Access: Used solely to photograph items, receipts, and serial plates from within the App. Photos are stored locally on your device.
• Photo Library Access: Used solely if you choose to attach existing images from your gallery to an item entry.
• Face ID: Used solely to authenticate your identity if you choose to enable the Face ID Lock feature. Authentication is executed entirely on-device by Apple's Secure Enclave hardware; NestHold never reads, transmits, or stores your biometric data.
• Local Notifications: Used on-device to deliver reminder alerts before your item warranties expire. No push notification servers are used.

5. In-App Purchases & Payment Information

Optional purchases (NestHold Pro) are processed securely by Apple through StoreKit:

• All financial transactions, credit cards, and billing addresses are handled directly by Apple Inc. We never receive or store financial details.
• We utilize RevenueCat as an anonymous receipt validation service to confirm active Pro purchases with Apple. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase transaction tokens. No personally identifiable information or inventory data is shared with RevenueCat.

6. Data Control & Deletion

Because all catalog data resides locally on your device, you maintain full control:

• You can edit or delete any item, room, or receipt image at any time within the App.
• Deleting or uninstalling the NestHold application from your device permanently removes all local catalog data from your device storage.
